MetLife Streamlines Product Line Up and is Ready to Sunset all 1980 CSO Table Based Life Products

 Effective August 31, 2008 our 1980 CSO Table products will be sunset.

This change has no effect on the current benefits of the insurance policies in-force. Policyholders retain all rights and privileges in their current policies including conversion privileges and the ability to modify coverage amounts. Other than the exceptions listed below, the only way to obtain one of the sunsetting products is to have an application signed by August 31 st and received in the home office by September 30 th.

 MetLife's L-98 will be repriced on September 1 and all applications signed and dated this date and later will receive the new product which will be marketed as Whole Life.

 In New Jersey only Guarantee Advantage UL (2001 CSO) replaced Guarantee Advantage UL (1980 CSO) and Universal Advantage UL, as of June 2, 2008. Applications for Guarantee Advantage UL (1980 CSO) or Universal Advantage UL must be signed and dated no later than June 2, 2008 and received in the Home Office no later than July 2, 2008.

Exceptions:

* For the Bahamas only Presidential Whole Life and MetLife MVP will remain available in the Bahamas for MetLife of CT term policyholders to accommodate term conversions.

Illustrations:

Sunset products will be removed in all illustration systems by November 7, 2008.

The sunsetting Term products will no longer be available in external quote engines as of August 31, 2008 which includes Compulife, Vital Term and iPipeline.
