Sunset Reminder

In New Jersey only:

Guarantee Advantage UL (1980) and Universal Advantage UL will be Sunset June 2nd

Due to New Jersey state regulations, Guarantee Advantage UL (2001 CSO) will replace Guarantee Advantage UL (1980 CSO) and Universal Advantage UL, as of June 2, 2008.  New Jersey applications for Guarantee Advantage UL (1980 CSO) and Universal Advantage UL must be signed and dated no later than June 2, 2008 and received in the Home Office no later than July 2, 2008.

To ensure that business gets processed as quickly and cleanly as possible, until the sunset date, the producers should stipulate either the 1980 or 2001 CSO version of the Guarantee Advantage UL on the application.  They should also verify that the illustration matches this version.

Also remember:  The lifetime guarantee benefit is offered via the optional Coverage Continuation Rider on Guarantee Advantage UL (2001 CSO) and if desired by the policyholder, must be illustrated and selected on the application.
